Martin & Lorraine Gilbert operate 'Gilbert Beekeeping Supplies' and 'Laura Gardens Bees' in the Lonsdale Commercial Precinct - (Adelaide Southern suburbs ) and Laura in the (Southern Flinders Ranges ) of South Australia.

The business has grown out of a need in South Australia for easily accessible, affordable beekeeping equipment and accessories.
Part of our passion for bees includes encouraging others to understand more about these amazing little creatures and their influence in our world.
Our Vision is to:

Support and encouragement for young beekeepers and their families has lead us to the decision of sponsoring 2 annual awards.
The annual GILBERT BEEKEEPING AWARD - the award recognises youth actively involved in beekeeping in South Australia who encourage others around them and who have actively demonstrated leadership & service in the past 2 years.
YOUNG BEEKEEPER OF THE SHOW - This trophy is awarded to the young beekeeper under the age of 18 years who gains the most points across all classes in the Honey Section of the Royal Adelaide Show including the young beekeeper section. http://www.theshow.com.au The honey section schedule for the show can be downloaded from the web.
